A Morning Walk

You have to respect to these guys.

I mean, they are like the antithesis of whatever things were running in this country these days. When people neglecting the rituals and religion, these guys held fast, because they believe they are living the way God had outline lives should be for us humans.

They walked pass me by this morning on their way to some rendezvous place I have no idea of. They walked pretty fast carrying their luggage, hurrying after their group that already a couple of hundred meters ahead of us.

And you might’ve guessed it already. People stared at them. Motorcyclist, shopkeepers, chauffer, school kids, security guys, etc.

That’s because we are so seldom catch sight of guys dressed like them, so faithfully following the style that was (supposedly) similar to the Prophet Mohammed’s days: Long white robe, special head covering, and goatee.

Amazing.

I had this thought of following them wherever they go, just out of my own curiosity.

But then my common sense got the best of me and I stopped in front of my initial destination, a warung kopi, to eat soy bean porridge and half-cooked eggs of ayam kampong.

I’d like to extend my narration here but I must finish my work. After all, I want to go home and sleep.

Zzzz......
