RTFM! RTFM! RTFM!

You could always read the f*cking manual!

That's what I felt just after reading the manual to my dSLR last night. And I want to kick myself REALLY hard in the ass. I was puzzled for more than two years trying to figure out a way to measure custom WB in my dSLR. I had a grey card. I've used a white paper. I tried to take picture of the card or the paper using the option of PRESET White Balance. I used the "MEASURE" setting. Used the "Use This Picture As White Balance Setting" option.

But then what? Because the change didn't look different than the Auto White Balance set.

Am I reading the manual wrong? Or did some part of the How-To Set had been mysteriously
removed from my eyes? Or did I don't comprehend the manual book? Because the thing had been there all this time!

Crap.

Imagine that, years of incorrect White Balance. Thousands of photos. All because I didn't Read The F*cking Manual from cover-to-cover!

Me, the dumbest guy, lugging a dSLR around Indonesia, pretending to be good at photography.
